On Tuesday, October 22nd, PRSA Thoroughbred Chapter Programming Chair Marc Whitt will be honored at the Excellence in PR Award Reception as part of the UK James C. Bowling Executive-in-Residence Lecture Series. We hope you’ll be able to join our chapter to celebrate Marc as he’s recognized as the 2024 PRSA ECD Platinum Award winner!

Following the Award Reception, please stay to hear this year’s Lecture Series speaker, Cody Keenan, former White House director of speechwriting for President Barack Obama. Cody, who wrote alongside President Obama for 14 years, is now a partner at leading speechwriting firm Fenway and teaches a popular course on speechwriting at his alma mater, Northwestern University. His first book, Grace: President Obama and Ten Days in the Battle for America, became an instant New York Times Bestseller.

The Excellence in PR Award Reception begins at 4pm and will take place in Woodward Hall at the UK Gatton School of Business & Economics.

Cody’s lecture will begin at 5:30pm in the Grand Courtroom of UK’s Rosenberg College of Law.
